Site Access
Set across approximately 100 acres of woodland and pasture, the site includes woodlands and fields so there is a limited amount of natural unevenness, tree roots and soft ground, along with some undergrowth & long grass in some areas. In dry weather access is likely to be fairly good. With muddy ground conditions access can rapidly become more challenging, especially in the woods. Light levels across the site at night are often fairly low in order to maintain the ambience, but main pathways remain lit. Ditches can be crossed via bridges and culverts and the overall distances are not enormous. Once in the Arenas all destinations would be less than 400m away, with the majority within 200m.
There is some seating and accessible toilets can be found at the ACA (Accessible Camping Area) and in the Arena near to First Aid.
Mobility scooters can be charged onsite – we ask that you contact us in advance (see ACA).
Carer / PA Tickets

We offer Carer / PA tickets at the discounted rate of £50 (plus booking fee) to those in receipt of Enhanced Mobility PIP or Enhanced Daily Living PIP. To apply for this offer please email over an image of your current DWP award statement via the email address shown on the Contact page. You will be sent the discount code to enter on the Tickets page.
- The person benefitting will need to demonstrate receipt of enhanced rate PIP and be aged 18 or above
- Vehicle passes are bought in advance or on arrival – campervans in ACA may be no longer than 6m – see website for prices
- Carer tickets are not allocated to parent/guardians of children under the age of 18, as all children under 18 attending our Event must be accompanied by a responsible adult
- All Carer / PA tickets are issued only in addition to your Online Ticket purchase from Citizen Ticket. Our Wooden Ticket outlets cannot issue these tickets.
Accessible Camping Area (ACA)
Applications for this offer CLOSED 21st June.
All public visitors are able to camp in the main Tent or Campervan fields, either alone or within larger social groups.
We also offer the ACA for those who need to camp near to Accessible Toilets, or to be near to the main Arena gates in case of mobility issues. You do not need to be in receipt of a discounted Carer / PA pass to make use of the ACA, but we ask that you get in touch asap so we can best cater to your needs as spaces are limited. You will need a standard Campervan vehicle pass (no more than 6m in length), bought either in advance or on arrival – see website for prices, and you will need to confirm eligibity and availability by getting in touch. Spaces are assigned to the ACA during the planning phase; your name needs to be on the list by Summer Solstice.
The ACA is fairly flat with the possibility of vehicle access, and is local to accessible toilet facilities. Each ACA pitch is no greater than 5×6 metres. If you have a carer or friend who would like to camp immediately next to you they must strictly fit within this space. If you would like to camp in a larger group you are welcome to camp in the public camping areas and then come to the ACA to use the facilities.
To request use of the ACA please get in touch via the enquiry form before the deadline. Plese send
– full name and mobile phone number
– a short sentence explaining your need
– vehicle registration number and type (ie vw camper, car etc)
– total number of tents, vehicles and people in your group (ie those you wish to camp with in ACA, if any other than just yourself). NB space is very limited.
Electricity
Applications are open until 21st June.
If you might need power to charge mobility scooters or other equipment please make sure to include mention of it in your application. All electrical equipment must be in good order and carry relevant certification. There will be a shared charging point for those who have pre-booked. Please note that we do not provide power to private tents and caravans, nor can we guarantee the supply of power to equipment. This is of particular importance with regards essential or life saving equipment; our insurance does not allow us to take on this risk. If you bring machines with you crucial to life (CPAP, medication fridges) please ensure you have reserve batteries and also a plan in place for any shortage of power. We are not able to permit individual generators. Any unauthorised and unsuitable electrical connections & equipment will be at the least removed without warning in order to maintain a fire & electrical safe and proper onsite temporary electrical grid.
Crew, Traders and Artists
The above information is written with visitors in mind, but also applies to all members of the Harlequin Fayre crew, traders and any artists performing at the Fayre.
