Campervan Field information

We offer 2 types of Campervan Pitch. Each is able to house one vehicle or combination (ie a car and caravan). If space remains within your pitch it may be used for a small tent or awning.

Larger pitches are not available – if you need more room please ensure you arrive with friends and you then all buy campervan pitches of the same size. You will be sited as you arrive, so you would then be together with any spare space able to be used to suit your group. If you have space on your pitch you can have a maximum of 1 x small tent or 1 x awning next to your vehicle.

We have a dedicated area especially for campervans and caravans. Please read these simple guidelines that we need to stick to for licensing and safety reasons.

  1. Just so we’re clear, a live-in vehicle is one that is specifically adapted for sleeping, such as a camper van or caravan; strictly no cars are allowed onto the campsite unless they are towing a caravan
  2. We now have two types of live in vehicle tickets: Campervan for those for under 6m and Mortorhome for those over 6m or towed by a car. Please make sure you have the right one or you may be refused entry. There is a maximum 9m length of pitch for Motorhomes, so please ensure that you fit before you arrive. We cannot find extra space on the day.
  3. The main Live-in Vehicle Campsite is adjacent to the Public Camping (tents) field, so you will be close to your tented friends, but not immediately adjacent to them.
  4. Space in the Live-in Vehicle Campsite is limited, so please note you will only have room for an awning or one small tent next to your vehicle
  5. On arrival, all live-in vehicles will be allocated to the next available pitch by our staff; unfortunately we can’t pre-allocate or reserve spaces so please arrive together if you want to camp with friends
  6. This area is used as farmland for the rest of the year so please be aware there are no power hook-ups; however, it has water, toilets and toilet-emptying facilities. Please bring your own torch.
  7. Please be aware that the land is uneven grass and it is the owner’s responsibility to decide whether the vehicle is suitable for the terrain in varying weather conditions.

Campsite info

We have a calm and level camp ground adjoining the main arenas. The whole setting is very pretty and there is plenty of room for all of us. The subsoil is sand, so generally no mud! Tents have their own field, free of vehicles and adjacent to the campervan field.

Tents

Plenty of room to breathe, though if you pitch up right next to the Arena entrance it tends to be a bit cosy. There’s plenty of room for you to set up with space and calm around you. The car parks are 20 to 100m walk away. Water and toilets close by. No vehicles at all are allowed in Tents fields, though if you want to push a trailer tent in here by hand you can.
